Dastaawez | Design collection'20
The collection, 'Dastaawez' is inspired from a 20-25years old folder of my father's. The keywords derived from the inspiration was based on the physical attributes of the current condition of the folder. The delicate pages with torn edges, Hand feel/touch, Layers, the lines, the wavy texture on the folder, the weave structure ( torn at places ). The documents were of the time, my parents spent in Lucknow University. It plays a very important role in their life. To signify the importance , stitches of chikankari were incorporated. The Jali work was done by the artisans of Lucknow to match the physical appearance of the folder.
