FAREHA IQBAL

The garments in Agama drew from the silhouettes seen in Central Asia by travellers and nomadic people that, over time, incorporated elements, colours, forms, motifs and textiles from their travels, becoming a unique shared aesthetic of Asia. This collection is dedicated to textile matriarch Suraiya Hassan Bose (1928–2021), whose enthusiasm and encouragement led to these textile enquiries.
